Failte Ireland has tasked the Love Drogheda BIDs team with creating a Drogheda Tourism Cluster which includes all tourist offices, tourism attractions, food businesses, hospitality and other relevant stakeholders. Through this initiative we will circulate event info and details so that all parties can cross-promote Drogheda as a top tourism destination.

The aim of this group will be to showcase Drogheda and its surrounding areas as a top-class tourism destination and to generate greater interconnectivity and cross-promotion between businesses and tourist attractions in Drogheda and the surrounding Boyne Valley area.

Through this group we aim to;

• Create an email database of all tourism-related stakeholders

• Compile a list of events/ festivals/ attractions and populate a Calendar of events that is shared on a regular basis

• Share the Calendar with the group and encourage cross promotion on social media and in person

• Engage with staff in hospitality by sharing tourist information so that they can make recommendations to visitors

• Retain visitors in the Drogheda area and businesses for  longer amounts of time

• Increase the value of tourists to the local economy

• Promote a sense of ownership and pride in Drogheda (and surrounding areas) as a tourism destination
