Drogheda is shortlisted for not one but three Digital Town.ie Awards for 2023! These awards recognise and reward projects with a digital element that have been created by town groups and local communities. They promote awareness, knowledge, use and understanding of digital in Ireland by its citizens, businesses and communities. They also highlight the benefits and possibilities of digital and celebrate the digital achievements of local towns, big and small.
Drogheda has been shortlisted in the following categories:
Digital Tourism- DRAWDA Urban Art Trail and Digital Legacy (partnership project between Droichead Arts Centre, Louth County Council and Love Drogheda BIDs).
Digital Community- Love Drogheda "Love your town gift card" and Public Wi-Fi
Digital Rising Star- DRAWDA Urban Art Trail and Digital Legacy (partnership project between Droichead Arts Centre, Louth County Council and Love Drogheda BIDs)
Digital offers the opportunity to create new ways of doing things, promote innovation and breathe new life into local communities, making them more attractive places to live and work as well as contributing to a more sustainable future.
Love Drogheda BIDs is delighted by the news of Drogheda being shortlisted and these projects and groups getting recognised for innovation in digital. We wish the best of luck to all the entrants and their projects. The awards will culminate in a Gala Prize-giving lunch on Wednesday 24 May 2023.
