To celebrate the Midsummer festival, Love Drogheda BIDS and Droichead Arts Centre invite you to come and visit The Old Abbey and St Peter's West Street for our "Mythical Midsummer" festival on Saturday, June 25th.
From 12pm in the Old Abbey, the DRAWDA letters will be on display and available for you to draw on yourself. You can also create your very own Mythological Canvas with facilitators Yvonne Dowd and Darrin Finnegan, or get your face painted by Kelly Kierans of Gingernut Arts! There will be live drumming from the Samba Mammas , Hula Hoop performances by Eli and DRAWDA Mural tours guided by Grainne Rafferty and Anthony Murphy.
Also from 12pm until 4pm, in front of St Peter's on West Street we will have magic from the amazing Martin the Magician, with Lida the fairy and Jessica Kelly for facepainting. Later that evening, back at the Old Abbey there will be music from 8pm featuring The Cacks, Theresa and Darragh Ó Héiligh with Brónagh Barnes and Gráinne Casey.
