Launching in 2020, the Love Drogheda Gift Card Programme has been one of our most successful projects, with both businesses and the public getting behind the gift card and investing in it. Designed to keep “Think Local, Shop Local” at the forefront of the public's mind, the card ensures that local spending stays local. With a 0% commission and no sign-up fees to businesses, it is the easiest way that you can support your local economy.
The Love Drogheda Gift Card currently has over 200 businesses signed-up to accept it, covering everything from retail, restaurants and cafes to personal services and attractions. Since it’s launch, Love Drogheda BIDS have published several awareness campaigns to highlight the effectiveness of the Love Drogheda Gift Card at retaining local spending in the local economy and the potential it has for the Drogheda community.
We know that since the Gift Card went live there has been over €250,000 worth of gift cards purchased, which means that the money has stayed in our local economy. We also ensure that the Love Drogheda Gift Card is listed as the prize for any competitions that we run on our social media channels.

Love Drogheda Gift Cards can be purchased online through the Love Drogheda BIDS website or you can collect grab and load gift cards from the Love Drogheda BIDS office on Meatmarket Lane, The Design Gallery, Intersports Elverys, Stockwell Artisan Foods, Woolworks, The Vape Shop, Staffords Delicatessan and Izmoo Gelato.
