We are delighted to announce that the Love Drogheda Gift Card is now available as a digital E-card that can be sent to your recipient via email or SMS message, added to their Google or Apple pay wallets and redeemed instore via contactless payment. The E-gift card can be purchased up to the value of €500 and can be spent in over 190 businesses around Drogheda.
Below are some key steps in how to successfully order and use your Love Drogheda E-Gift Card.
Ordering an E-Gift Card:
• Visit https://townandcitygiftcards.ie/product/drogheda/ choose a gift card value and select E-card.
• Be certain that the person you are sending the e-card to has either Google Pay or Apple Pay on their mobile device.
• An administration fee of €1.99 will be added to the cost of your gift card. This ensures that no charges occur to the businesses that participate in the Love Drogheda Gift Card program, maintaining the spend in the local economy.
• Process your order. You can choose to add a personalized message to your recipient. Enter the email address or mobile phone number of your recipient and send them their gift card instantly.
Using your Love Drogheda E-gift Card:
• When you receive the email or SMS text with your Love Drogheda Gift Card, follow the links to download the “Love Local” app from either Google Play or the Apple App Store. This app hosts the Love Drogheda Gift Card on your mobile device.
• You will need to create an account using the same email address that you received the Gift Card to. This account allows you to see all your Digital Love Drogheda Gift Cards in one place.
• Once downloaded, the “Love Local” app will display your gift cards, balances, and transaction history.
• Click the “Add to Wallet” button and add your E-Gift Card to either your Google Pay or Apple Pay Wallet. Ensure that your NFC payments are enabled on your mobile device.
• You can now use your Digital Gift Card in over 190 participating businesses via your contactless Google or Apple Pay Wallet. If you so choose, you can make the Love Drogheda Digital Gift Card your default payment card, so you do not even need to open your wallet app to use it in a participating store.
