Our newest project in the actions taken to improve the look of the town is the installation of attractive photographs along the Marsh Road, a main entryway into the town.
Hoarding around construction and development sites offers the perfect opportunity and canvas to ensure that areas which are under development add to the attraction of the town rather than take away from it. This simple but affective project installed attractive and interesting images of Drogheda and its surrounding areas onto the hoarding on Marsh Road, an entryway into the town which is passed by many pedestrians and motorists every day.
This project gave the opportunity to add colour, vibrancy and interest to an area that would otherwise have been ignored or taken as just a temporary unattractive necessity of the town’s development. Giving passers-by a project to admire on active construction sites is an effective way that we can continue to improve the overall look of our town.
This project was undertaken by Love Drogheda BIDs with support from Louth County Council and the TUS Programme through Louth Local Development Company. Many thanks to Richard Hatch for the wonderful images used in the project.
We encourage any businesses who are taking on any kind of project that contributes to the attractiveness of the town to post about it on social media using the hashtag #LookingGoodDrogheda.
