The Love Drogheda BIDs Christmas Light Switch-On celebration will take place at 5:30pm on West Street on Friday 15th November. The event is brought to you by Love Drogheda BIDS (Drogheda Ratepayers), Drogheda Credit Union, Louth County Council and with support from Drogheda Library.
Santa is looking for some helpers to turn on the Christmas lights. Drogheda’s Christmas Light switch on is happening on Friday, November 15th from 5:30PM on West Street, and three lucky kids couldhelp Santa light up the town!
We’re inviting all children under 12 to grab their colouring pencils and get creative. Simply pick up our Christmas poster from Drogheda Credit Union, Love Drogheda BID, or Drogheda Library, or download it here.

Entries must be in before Wednesday, November 13th at one of our collection points, and you could be one of three lucky winners (under 6,under 8, and under 12) to switch on Drogheda’s Christmas lights with Santa! Please return you colouring sheets to either;
-The Love Drogheda BID office on Meatmarket Lane
-The Drogheda Credit Union on Laurence Street
-The Drogheda Library on Stockwell Street
The evening will be packed with festive family-friendly fun including balloon modelling, carol singing, ballet performances, and Christmas characters mingling with the crowd.
Dress up for Drogheda Credit Union’s Christmas Jumper Competition and win prizes for the most festive outfits, including the ‘Most Jolly Jumper’ and ‘Most Festive Family Costume’. There will be giveaways, spot prizes, and surprises throughout the evening.
